Newly Arrived Books!

This is where I will depict some of the more interesting books as they arrive at the Vigilant. Almost all will be previously-read (the upscale euphemism for used) books that you bring in for store credit. Some will be from auctions (but books aren't common in most auctions I've covered - Americans need to read more), and others will migrate from my personal library in our yellow house across the street into the bookstore. Here is a pix of two boxed books and one's title page. At a recent auction I got these and 20-30 others of these Heritage Press books published in the 1930s through the 50s. They are collectibles, selling on Amazon from $20 to $100 each.The auction also yielded an excellent collection of books about the Civil War. When the Vigilant opens there will be a lot of neat books!
